Handboek Communities nu ook als gratis PDF verkrijgbaar

Handboek Communities is nu ook als gratis pdf verschenen. Het boek van Erwin Blom over de kracht van sociale netwerken, kwam twee weken geleden in boekvorm uit (de tweede druk is al in de maak), maar is nu ook digitaal verkrijgbaar. Blom (The Crowds, ex-VPRO) beschrijft in zijn boek uit eigen ervaring en aan de hand van best practices wat valkuilen en succesfactoren zijn bij de inzet van social media. In Handboek Communities onder meer aandacht voor social media voorbeelden als iPhoneClub, Marketingfacts, Ambtenaar 2.0, Sara Lee en Seats2Meet.
Het proces rondom Handboek Communities is ook een zoektocht naar nieuwe verdienmodellen rondom uitgeven. De pdf is in dit geval gratis, maar wordt gefinancierd met advertenties. Blom is er van overtuigd dat een gratis pdf niet ten koste gaat van de papieren versie, maar dat door de grotere verspreiding meer mensen met de inhoud in aanraking komen wat uiteindelijk tot meer verkoop kan leiden. Of dat zo is, kan vanaf vandaag gaan blijken.

30 november wordt in Seats2Meet in Utrecht een evenement rondom Handboek Communities georganiseerd. Van 14 tot 17 uur spreken deskundigen die in het boek aan bod komen over hun ervaringen. Aan bod komen:
